Grumpy has died. Will it be possible to clone her?

Grumpy the cat is known worldwide by its own name, Tardar Sauce. She lived in Arizona, suffered from nanism and her angry expression entertained fans for seven years. She has over eight million views on Facebook and almost two and a half million Instagram followers. Her owner, Tabatha Bundesen, was proud of her for seven years. Her kitten had truly become a celebrity. Unfortunately, in cat years, she had only been with us for a short time. She suffered from kidney failure, like thousands of older cats do. Can we look forward to seeing her image in the future again? The chances are open…

The technology is available. It all depends on the owner’s opinion.

For example, Barbra Streisand had her dog cloned and small Grumpy could experience a similar story of “rebirth”. According to scientists, it would cost about 25 thousand dollars, which is actually only a fraction of what the cat had earned on her Internet sketches. Many people have said on Internet discussions that cloning Grumpy the cat could be very interesting.

But watch out – the diagnosis thanks to which this cat passed away early (the average outdoor cat has no problem living even double Grumpy’s age) could easily be transferred to a clone. This applies to all pets, if their owners want to revive them this way. Last but not least, the cat’s personality will probably be completely different. She will only inherit the image, to a certain extent, as well as the inborn defects and diseases. Wouldn’t it just be better to leave the angry cat rest? The decision also depends on Grumpy’s owner. Grumpy was the official spokes cat for Friskies, she also played in Good Morning America and has truly become a phenomenon. However, on 14 March 2019, in her hometown of Morristown, Arizona, she left this world once and for all, at least in her genuine image…
