Moreover, we actually don’t enjoy life much, we take it for granted, we are too bored by the daily grind and we don’t know how to get off the merry-go-round. Get up earlier than normal for once
Getting up even fifteen minutes earlier is enough. You will not have to hurry as much because you will manage your regular morning routine more calmly. Why stress out when you don’t have to, right? Also, it certainly helps when you are positive right when you wake up because the first thoughts you have in the morning will most likely guide you throughout your whole day, in one way or another. Last but not least, what if you already prepared your clothes the evening before and don’t have to think about what to wear? The reason is obvious – you save time and stress, which will come in handy during an important situation throughout the day. What’s the best way to get some sleep and wake up on the right side of the bed?
- Go to sleep a little earlier. A study at the University in Binghampton clearly says that if we go to sleep late, we are asking for health problems, in comparison to those, who have a different regime.
- Sleep naked. You certainly don’t wear warm socks, especially in the summer but it will definitely be easier to fall asleep without clothes. As scientists have pointed out, pyjamas are a little outdated.
- Watching TV before going to bed does not make much sense. You will not be able to fall asleep because you were watching a screen. Mobile phones also interrupt your sleep patterns, even if you only read emails.
It is also worth re-painting your bedroom and this time using vibrant colours. Painting your bedroom black is a waste, while yellow or green are full of life. You will see that it will be easier to get up. According to a recent New York Times study, flowers also brighten up a bedroom. Patients that were surrounded by plants in a hospital were better at coping with the anxiety and stress that is oftentimes associated with staying at such a facility.
You can go for a short run in the morning
Working out right in the morning? Certainly. It will get your blood flowing, working out releases dopamine and you will feel more motivated throughout the day. A study at the University in Montreal implies that the benefits of morning exercise are not only in the endorphins. On the contrary, there is a lot more in store. Go jogging for awhile, but try a stationary bike or another exercise machine in the winter, especially when the roads are icy.
Do small things every day that make you happy. Buy small presents for your relatives, take a walk through the park or talk to your friends – anything that comes to mind. Don’t limit yourself to a five-minute plan of what you are going to do. Such a plan is rather intended for businessmen, who probably have to schedule every minute. If you are not in a hurry, you will feel less stressed and the unpleasant pounding of the heart, which is a sign of future health problems, will subside. And that is worth it, right?
